National Kidney Donation Organization
Advocating for living kidney donors, supporting recipients and working to improve kidney donation across Canada

OUR MISSION
NKDO Canada aims to improve the experience and outcomes of living kidney donors and recipients across Canada.
We’re accomplishing this through information sharing and support for both recipients and donors.- By sharing relevant resources around what to expect and understanding the process, prospective donors can gain information to support informed decision making while reinstilling hope for those in need of a kidney donation
- By encouraging donor and recipient support networks, complimented by our mentorship program, NKDO Canada aims to further encourage donations and improve outcomes.
SPEAK WITH A DONOR MENTOR
Want to learn more about becoming a living kidney donor? Speak to someone who’s already done it! Our trained team of donor mentors are ready to answer any questions you may have and guide you through the process!
- Our mentorship program educates potential donors and supports kidney recipients.
- When paired with one of our donor mentors, those considering becoming a living kidney donor are 7x more likely to donate.
- All mentors are trained living kidney donors or recipients.
